Bitcoin Hits Above $50,000; BTC on Its High Price

Bitcoin soared to its highest level since December 2021, surpassing the $50,000 mark for the first time in over two years, triggering a rally in cryptocurrencies and related stocks.

Coinbase stock and bitcoin ETFs surged alongside bitcoin miner Marathon Digital (MARA), which vaulted.

Bitcoin reached above $50,200 on Monday afternoon, hitting $50,314 in the morning, while Ethereum hovered near $2,650 at four-week highs. 

Despite a brief dip after the ETF launch, Bitcoin remains up over 18% this year.

Coinbase saw a 3.8% surge, reclaiming its 50-day moving average, while Marathon Digital stock jumped 14.2%, nearing late December highs.
